Crochet Tips: Hook Grips

I always get questions about my hooks whenever I post pictures of something I’m working on, “what is that thing on your hook?”. So I thought I’d throw together a little post to share my (not so) secret!

They’re just stretchy rubber pencil grips! I think they make the hooks easier/more comfortable to hold. They don’t really work on normal crochet hooks, except for the larger sizes. But I like these Clover “soft touch” hooks. They fit the grips perfectly! :)

I also like that they add some color and sparkle since the hooks themselves are sort of a drab, poopy color! :P

  3. Love your Hooks I live in Egypt and I don’t find to many hooks here with the Exception of crochet cotton hooks I really have to go many places to find hooks, for the hooks that I do have I because there aren’t any rubber pencil grips here I will take an old pen and insert it in the tip end there is usually a grip on the pen. With my illness it makes crocheting much more fun if your fingers don;t hurt. Thank you for sharing.
