Candy-clops Free Crochet Pattern

Yup! It’s the beginning of September and I’m already crafting for Halloween! It’s my favorite holiday and I plan on celebrating it for two whole months! :D Here is the first of several Halloween crafts I plan on sharing. I hope you enjoy this cyclops candy corn crochet pattern! This is an excellent beginner amigurumi project, by the way, offering a chance to practice both increasing & decreasing!

● Size E crochet hook
● Yarn needle
● (1) 15mm safety eye
● Stuffing
● Felt scraps for the mouth (black & white)
● Glue for attaching the mouth
● Worsted Weight Yarn in White, Orange, & Yellow

Yarn used in example:
Caron Simply Soft in White (CA), Melon (CB), Lemon (CC)

ch – Chain
rnd – Round
sc – Single Crochet
ea – Each
sc2tog – 2 Single Crochets Together (Decrease)
rep – Repeat
FO – Finish Off
CA – Color A (white)
CB – Color B (orange)

This pattern is worked in rounds using single crochets. Do not join at the end of rounds. You’ll probably want to use a stitch marker to mark your rounds. Gauge is not important but remember to keep your stitches tight.

Use your yarn needle to close the hole and FO.

Cut your mouth out of felt and use fabric glue to attach it.

  1. Sooooo cute! I bought my first Halloween item of the year (the fabric I bought last month doesn’t count): a “Monster Mash” Mr. Potato Head! Happy Two-Months-of-Halloween! :-D

  2. Who else would have come up with this great take on the old candy corn?! I enjoy your imagination and creativity in the crochet patterns. Thank you for sharing with all of us.

  3. Hi, I want to make these, but I can’t seem to find the eyes. Can you tell me if you found them in a store or online?? Thank you!! Great pattern by the way, sooo cute!

  4. Hello, I love this pattern and think this is so cute. I think on round 9 where it says “2c, 2c in nect st, rep around” it should actually read “1 sc, 2sc in next st, rep around” in order to go from 18 st in round 8 to 24 in round 9, otherwise you would have double the number of stitches.

  5. This is such a cute pattern, I’ll have to make some for next year, thanks for sharing….Happy Halloween to you and yours!

  6. These are so cool! Now that I’m supposed to deny my sugar cravings . . . I think I will make a bowl full of these for next year! Thanks for the adorable pattern.

  7. My best friend/should be sister would just LOVE these! She loves candy corn and I know she would love these! Maybe I will be able to make some of them before too long. I’m an old/new beginner, I had crocheted for a long time but then stopped for several years and now I’m having to learn all over again.LOL Some of the stitches are coming back to me and some I’m still having trouble with but I’m getting there. Thank you for the free patterns and I will be buying some from you in the future.
