I Wrote A Crochet Pattern Book!

Surprise! I’m a little late announcing this here, but regardless, I’m excited to share that I wrote a book! My slouchy hat patterns have always been some of my most popular so this seemed like a fitting book topic for me! If you’ve enjoyed those patterns, I think you’ll love this! The book is called Crocheted Beanies & Slouchy Hats and it contains 31 patterns for beanies, slouchy hats, and slouchy beanies. You can find it on Amazon or in your local book stores.

There are some old favorites, such as the Avenue C Slouchy Hat, that I thought deserved a place in the book. But the majority of the patterns are brand new! I’ll share a few of my personal favorites below, but if you’d like to see all of the patterns in the book, click here to check them out on Ravelry.

The Pumpkin Pie Slouchy Beanie is made with just one skein of Patons Alpaca Blend, topped a faux fur pom pom. And check out that cable detail! It’s probably the easiest crochet cable out there!

This is the Alaska Beanie, which I designed with Bernat Roving. Would you believe that this entire hat is made in just 12 rounds?! It’s super quick but full of texture and pretty darn cozy!

The Swell Slouchy Beanie is one of the most colorful in the book. I used Yarn Bee Aspyn & a wavy stitch pattern to create a really fun look that really flatters a multicolored yarn.

The Ginger Snap Slouchy Hat so far, has been the hat that I find myself wearing the most. I love this color of Premier Everyday Soft Worsted! For this hat, I created a pretty textured stitch pattern & gave it a special little button detail.

The Lakeshore Beanie uses the linen stitch. Who doesn’t love the linen stitch? It’s so classy and really shows off the gradient effect in Lion Brand Scarfie. I thought those big buttons were the perfect finishing touch!

I tried to keep the pattern difficulty in the beginner-intermediate range, so they would be fun for everyone! The yarns I used are affordable and mostly ones that you can find in your local craft stores. I used #4 worsted – #6 super bulky weight yarns, so they should all be easy to substitute for your favorite yarn in the appropriate weight.

I hope you’ll check it out & hope find your new favorite hat in this book! :)

If you use Ravelry, would you mind giving a heart to your favorite hats? I’d love to see which ones are the most loved so I can arrange to do some crochet alongs soon.
