My first leg warmer pattern is now available!! This one sure took me long enough, right? Don’t worry, I think you’ll find it worth the wait! The Swell Leg Warmers are a very versatile pattern that can easily be made any length (above knee or below) and any width to fit any size leg.
Any type of yarn can be used. However, this pattern is best suited for lighter weight yarns, so worsted weight or lighter will be best. I personally prefer making them with sock yarn.
There is an option to add ribbon around the top or to do a solid edge with no ribbon. I also show how to add elastic thread to the top in case they don’t stay up well enough on their own.
I consider the pattern advanced beginner level. It uses only basic stitches (all single, double, triple crochets). I think you’ll really enjoy making these! They’re simple and you can easily work on them while watching TV, they don’t require too much focus! ;) The pattern is 8 pages long and includes plenty of photos to help you along. Here’s a peek at what’s inside:
The pattern is available through Ravelry, where you can download it instantly after check out.
I hope you like them! I will have to make some posts soon to show the different ways I wear leg warmers! They’re one of my favorite accessories to wear year round!
