Tutorial Round Up

So… I got a little distracted last week and missed the tutorial round up! But that just means that this week’s round up is twice the size! So I hope you won’t mind :)

♥ I get so excited when Free People posts DIYs! Their stuff is always so pretty! Here is a tutorial from them on how to make a beaded umbrella chandelier.

♥ Here’s another one from Free People where they show how they dye & hand paint scarves. You could use this technique on anything really, doesn’t have to be scarves.

♥ This doily lampshade reminds me of something you’d see at Free People.

♥ I just love these fringey streamers! If I hung these up for a party, I don’t think I’d want to take them down. So pretty!

♥ I like this idea of using pom poms instead of bows on a gift! This idea using confetti to decorate a gift is pretty too!

♥ This mushroom garland is cute!

♥ Here’s some amigurumi mushrooms too! The Mario bros mushrooms to be exact. (free crochet pattern)

♥ This amigurumi lion is adorable! It’s on Lion Brand’s website so I think you’ll have to sign up in order to see it. (free knitting pattern)

♥ If you’re just learning how to knit and want to try amigurumi, this monster might be a good pattern to practice with. (free knitting pattern – PDF file)

♥ This is such a pretty amigurumi fish! It looks kinda advanced and is also in Portuguese so you’ll need to use a translator. It was too pretty not to share though! (free crochet pattern)

♥ If you’re looking for a more beginner amigurumi pattern, here is an easy bunny! (free crochet pattern)

♥ And here is an easy bunny for the knitters too! (free knitting pattern – PDF file)

♥ Ice cream cone cupcakes are something I’ve loved making for years! This video shows a new (to me) method. I usually just pour the batter right into the cone and cook it!

♥ Here’s a very drool worthy idea! Oreos inside chocolate chip cookies! mmmmm!

♥ If you’re not into baking, you could always make a cookie plushie instead! Aren’t they cute!?

♥ This instructable shows how to grow a square watermelon! Spiffy, right? I thought square melons only existed in Farmville!

♥ Here’s a pretty heart embroidery pattern.

♥ Here’s a tutorial on how to decorate a votive candle holder using shapes cut from tissue paper.
