I know, I know. Spring juuust started. But I’m already looking forward to Summer! The picture above is what inspired this post. My friend and I are totally going to build colorful teepees on the beach this Summer! It looks so easy and would be the coolest thing to see!  Here’s some other things I’m looking forward to this Summer:

Bonfires, bonfires, bonfires!!!

Bikinis and dresses!  1, 2, 3

I really want to crochet a top like this!

And a bikini too!

I really want to design more barefoot sandal patterns! They were such a huge hit last year, it really made me happy!

Bike rides! Lots and lots of bike rides at the beach! And of course new bike accessories! I don’t quite understand this thing in the picture above (mainly how it doesn’t get tangled up in the wheel?) but I like it!

Fire poi! I recently started practicing poi and I’m loving it so much! I’ve been using glow poi because I hit myself a lot. But I’m hoping to be good enough by Summer to do fire!

What are you looking forward to this Summer?

I hope everyone had a good Christmas! Mine was nice. I intended to post pictures because I was instagramming all day, but my pictures were coming out horribly and I couldn’t figure out why until I noticed something smudged across the camera lens! Exciting story, right? :P  Anyway! I got a bead loom for Christmas so I had to look up some inspiration!

All of these stood out to me because they have something other than just boring string, tie closures. I love the leather on them! I really like the ombre one, second to last!

My current thing (interest/obsession? I guess) is handmade swings. I’ve heard of people crocheting hammocks and I figure it can’t be much harder than crocheting a blanket. I’d really love to make one sometime but I question how sturdy they are. I guess I have a paranoia of whatever I make not being strong enough to hold me! :P

I think I’m most likely to try making one of the first two. I was thinking that I could use one of my old, really heavy hula hoops as the frame for a chair like the second picture.

Have you ever made a hammock or chair like any of these? Any tips or ideas for making sure it’s sturdy enough?

It must be a Summer thing for me. I always find myself wanting to go camping. I guess it’s hard to not want to be outdoors when the weather is so nice.

I’m still itching to make my own pretty tent. Anyone remember this post? :)

I don’t always feel like I belong where I am. Maybe it’s just a the grass is always greener (literally :P) on the other side type of thing. But I dream of one day living somewhere much greener than here. Foresty, mountainy, I don’t really care. Just a little less city, a little more pretty.

I’m currently loving the studded trend. After seeing many studded friendship bracelets, I finally made one of my own. I love it!
