It’s no secret that I love sunflowers. I’ve grown them every year for several years. I love how tall they get and I’m especially excited about them this year because they got waaaay taller than they ever have before! I tried to take a picture with them, not realizing that most of them were too tall to even be in the picture! :P
Sunflowers is one of my favorite Everclear songs. How fitting for this post! :)
Top: Target ♥ Skirt: I made it (tutorial coming soon!) ♥ Shoes: Blowfish (last year, I think) ♥ Bracelet: From this tutorial ♥ Hair star: also made by me ♥ Sunnies: Venice Beach boardwalk vendor ♥ Hair color:Splat
I’m not really one to do outfit posts. I love getting dressed up but honestly, I can’t afford to be super fashionable. But every now and then I feel good enough about myself to take photos. This was one of those days! It makes me happy to be able to say that I made something I’m wearing. I don’t really have the attention span to sew some of the things I’d really like to wear. But I’ve been trying to make more clothes recently. Just simple things like this skirt. I actually made a tutorial for this skirt and will share it very soon! :)
I already posted a few of my beach photo instagrams in yesterday’s post. But there’s still more! This is my cousin swinging at the beach. I love silhouettes!
This day was really gloomy, which made for some cool photos. :)
I’m loving this glitter! It’s Milani “Twinkle” over NYC ” Pier 17″.
The Spring Blossom Skully hats I’ve been working on (pattern coming soon!).
I was tagged to show my iPhone backgrounds. I’m embarrassed to say that they’ve been the same for four years (since I got the phone). It’s from the gelaskins app, btw.
The weekly giant pumpkin update. There are lots of little marble sized pumpkins now and this one even has a flower!
I love golden poppies! My first one opened this week!
I never realized how much I enjoy Spring until I started blogging regularly last year and was able to look back at the posts I made. I always assumed Fall was my favorite season because of how excited I get about celebrating Halloween and how much I enjoy everything that leads up to it. But apparently I really like Spring too.
I’m currently working on a skully and extra long skully version of the Spring Blossom Slouchy Hat. I’m not really a wearer of skully hats but people have asked me how to make skullies out of my slouchies so I might update some of my patterns.
I guess it’s a tradition I didn’t really realize I had, but I definitely get excited about going seed shopping. I got some red poppies to go with my golden poppies! :)
And yep! I’m going to attempt to grow giant pumpkins!
And then I’ll be tending another type of garden in Viva Pinata! Have you ever played this? I used to love playing it on Xbox 360. Then I lost my job and had to sell my Xbox to pay for things. Sad story.
Happy Thursday! Here are some pretty things to inspire you! :)
I could make an entire post dedicated to crocheted rocks. Why are they so pretty?!
I seriously see myself making some of these jars in the future. If only I could think of a use for them! I hate making things and then not knowing what to use them for.
There are so many things that I love about Fall! But I’m sad that it means Summer is over and many of my flowers will be dying soon :( It makes me happy to be greeted by a big, bright sunflower every time I go into the backyard. I went a little crazy snapping photos the day the first one bloomed.
I’m happy that my succulents live year round, at least!
Have you entered the giveaway yet? You could win a little succulent of your own that lives in the back of a really neat Halloween rat planter! :)
