Flowers In The Window Afghan Square Free Crochet Pattern

Today I’m sharing my second square for the Blog Hop Crochet Along! You can read the full details about the crochet along in my previous post here, and find links to the other squares at the bottom of this post!

● Size G (4.5 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
● Yarn needle for finishing.

Thank you to Lion Brand for sending me Wool-ease to create these squares with! Admittedly, I’d never tried it before but it really is perfect for afghans!

● Invisible join: video tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsHggQGFq3A

● Puff stitch: video tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWNovo_3FsA  Please note: this tutorial shows how to make the puff stitch used in this pattern however, it does not show the ch 1 after the puff. rnd 1 of this pattern requires you to ch 1 after each puff.

This square is made by first making 4 smaller squares and then assembling them to make one large square. Work rnds 1-4 four times to create the four smaller squares.

Be sure to check your gauge!

Gauge: 4 dc = 1 inch. Each smaller square, after rnd 4 should measure approximately 4  1/4″ across.

You will definitely need to block the square when finished to get it to lay flat. I have a simple tutorial here:https://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=7929

Finished size: 12 inch square
