Fabulously Festive Christmas Stockings Free Crochet Pattern

This is the last of my projects for the Jo-Ann Celebrate the Season campaign! I’ve had so much fun doing all of these holiday projects! The theme for this one was #fabulouslyfestive, and the goal was to create some type of holiday decor. I knew that I was going to do a crochet pattern for at least one of these projects and here it is! I’ve been wanting to crochet a stocking so I’m happy to have gotten this opportunity and I’m excited to share the pattern with you!!

I know this pattern might look a little intimidating because it has so much going on, but I assure you it’s actually pretty simple (it’s mostly double crochets) and surprisingly quick to make!

Gauge is unimportant, however if your gauge is significantly different from mine, your stocking will come out larger or smaller than mine (which is totally ok!) My gauge is approximately 7 dc = 2 inches.

This pattern is worked in joined rounds (except for the heel which is done in 5 easy rows). Join at the end of each round, when the pattern says to. You will need to finish off after most rounds (where the pattern says to) to change colors. I recommend weaving your ends in as you go or you will end up with a lot of ends when you’re done! ;)

You will be starting at the toe and working up to the top.

  1. Thank you so much for the pattern I wanted to make some Christmas Socks all season These are just the ones I’ve been looking for .. They are so cute.

  2. Good afternoon. I reviewing your “Fabulously Festive Christmas Stocking” your directions say “rnds 16-25 rep rnds 6-14. However rnds 16 to 25 is actually ten rounds while rnds 6-14 is only nine rows. The pattern “picks up” on the next non-repeated row of rnd 26. As I am anxious to get started on several of these for Christmas gifts, I would appreciate your clarifying my delimna — am I misreading your directions or is there a missing instruction for row 25? These are REALLY beautiful and I am sure my recipients will be delighted ;-)

  3. Hi I love this pattern it’s brilliant. Just on thing, with the holly I can’t seem to get to grips with the bit when you chain three, sl St into third chain from hook then dc crochet in the next chain. Is that the next chain of the original chain 11 cos it leaves a big gap. Am I missing something? Thanks
