I made these a while ago and I’ve been meaning to share them with you! It’s just a simple crochet flower, but I got really into making them for a while and ended up with a bunch of them! I’ve been attaching magnets to the back and sticking them on the fridge but you could probably come up with plenty of other uses for them too! Scroll down for the free pattern!
– Worsted weight yarn* in 2 colors
– Size G crochet hook
– Yarn needle
* I designed them with worsted weight yarn but they could be made with whatever yarn you like, just adjust your hook size accordingly.
CA – Color A
CB – Color B
Ch – Chain
3DCTOG – 3 double crochet together
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
prev – previous
sp – space
invis – invisible
FO – Finish/Fasten off
This pattern is worked in rounds, joined at the end of each round. Gauge is not important.
The 3DCTOG used in this pattern is a 3 DC cluster (see the symbol below).
Leave a tail at the beginning (handy for closing the hole in the middle later on).
rnd 1: With CA, Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc) 3DCTOG all in 3rd ch from hook. Ch 2. [3DCTOG (all in same ch as prev), ch 2] 5 times. sl st to join to 1st 3DCTOG.
rnd 2: With CB, [1 sc, 5 dc, 1 sc in next ch 2 sp] 6 times. invis join to finish.
Use your yarn needle to weave the tail you left at the beginning through the back of the rnd 1 stitches to close up the center hole and FO. Now you can glue your magnet to the back!
