Wanna Test My Barefoot Sandal Patterns?

Yay! It’s time! I’m looking for a few people to test my barefoot sandal patterns. I’m going to have these two patterns ready within the week.

About the patterns
They’re both intermediate level patterns that use basic crochet stitches and techniques + a couple special stitches (clusters & picots) which are explained in the patterns. They’re made with embroidery floss (not yarn!) and a size C crochet hook. You’ll need 6 skeins of embroidery floss to make a pair. They’ve both very quick to make!

What is pattern testing?
Testing involves trying out the pattern and letting me know if you run into any typos or problems or have any questions. When you’re done, I’d like to see pictures of the finished project and hear your overall thoughts on the pattern (let me know if anything could be made less confusing, if any steps need photos to help explain, etc). I’m looking for someone who can be really critical! This is important. In the past I’ve had too many people tell me a pattern was perfect and then had other people testing the same pattern find obvious errors, etc. Please only apply if you’re really interested in offering constructive criticism.

Deadline
I’ll have the triangle one ready & sent to you no later than Thursday. I’d like to have testing completed by Tuesday the 29th. The Peacocky looking one will be sent out no later than Sunday. I’d like to have testing completed by Friday the 1st. I don’t expect anyone to test both ;)

How to apply
Please leave a comment on this post and link me to your Ravelry or Flickr or blog (somewhere that I can see a few things you’ve made). Let me know which one you want to test/which deadline works best for you. I’ll contact you by email if I choose you as a tester.

Please don’t email me about this! Just comment on this post. Thank you! :)

Thank you so much, everyone who offered to test for me! I have plenty to choose from and will be emailing you ASAP! If you’d like to know how to test for me in the future, check out this post! :)

    Yo yo yo!

I’d love to test for you. I’ll link my ravelry once im at my pc- but im midgetskagem om there. It’s a wee bit out of date (I’ve recently done several patterns from twinkie chans book and another book), I can however give pretty good feedback based on how it works for a girl with occasional brain fog!

    they look awesome!

Barefoot sandals are BEAUTIFUL!! I would love to be a tester, but I’m afraid I may not qualify… just yet. I’m still learning and so far, I’ve only made a couple of hats/bandannas/hair accessories for my oldest daughter. She calls me her “personal mad-hatter”. I love making things because I love to make people happy and it helps to keep my mind off of worries for at least a little while. Thank you for all the beautiful things you share!

      Hi Gwen!

You’re in luck! I’ve had a couple people flake out on me so I’m still looking to get one pattern tested. I just sent you an email with the pattern attached. Let me know if you don’t get it for some reason. Thanks so much! :)

      • Gwen says:

Hey just wondering if you got my emails earlier today. I know my main email doesn’t always seem to go through, and without it you wouldn’t have known to look for the other ones.
