Work in Progress: So Many Hats!!

Here’s a peek at what I’ve been working on lately. I’ve been a hat making machine! I mentioned that I was going to open a hat shop for a couple months so I’ve been making as many as I can every day. I’m going to try to photograph them later today and hopefully open the shop this week.

See anything you like? There are 4 Gumdrop Slouchies + 1 special bulky sparkly version, 1 Pineapple Coconut Slouchy, 1 Ferris Wheel Slouchy, 2 Spring Blossom Slouchies, + 4 other experimental ones whose patterns I haven’t released yet.

Can you see the sparkle in the one on the left? It looks so pretty in person but was so hard to photograph!

Let me know if there is anything specific you’d like to see in the hat shop! :)

  1. Love the hats…I am also a hat making machine for Christmas gifts! I just adore your pineapple slouchy! Next on my list.. Good luck with your shop..I did a few for my sisters shop on ETSY did not do well. So now I just make for gifts and charity..Thanks for sharing with us.

    1. Thank you! I’ve had bad luck with selling hats in the past too. It’s the main reason that I only sell patterns now! heh! I’m not making any more than this but I’m going to make custom listings and I hope that will be more appealing.

    1. It depends on which style it is. Some of them I can whip up in a couple hours. Others, I don’t even know because I can’t finish it in one sitting. Short attention span! :P

  2. Hi Julie, I just have to say how much I love your hats!!!! I just recently started crocheting and am still trying to learn how to read a pattern, and am trying to make your slouchy hat, wish me luck and if you can make a video of how to make it Id so appreciate it, but I totally understand if you cant. There is so much i want to learn and dont have anyone to teach me that know how to read patterns, so its kinda hard to learn with out someone showing you.. ill stop whining now, have a wonderful day
