Bunnies!

I’ve been making bunnies! I kinda thought it would be cool to post a bunny pattern for Easter. Although, I didn’t really intend for these to be Easter bunnies. I just really like bunnies. I dunno if I’ll have it ready for Easter. I still wanna tweak the pattern some.

The pink bunny (see last pic) was the first one I made. I thought he needed more color & details, he seemed so plain. I love little details!

So then I made this one! I really love the embroidery details! He even has a belly button that you can’t really see in the pics.

But I’m not really happy with his body shape. I kinda want it to be longer and more slender. Just a little. Part of me wants to chop off the arms and legs. I think it would be cute with just a blob body! Oh, and they don’t have tails yet. I’ll add those soon.

I’d love to hear what you think! :)

I’ve had terrible luck with my photos looking way overexposed lately. So I always end up taking pics in the shade but it really limits when & where I can take pics. Anyone have any tips for taking photos in the bright sun?

  1. they are so sweet. I love the teal accent stitching.

As far as taking pictures in the bright sun -I’d invest in a 4 or 5-in 1 reflector. They come with black sides to block the sun, white to diffuse light or to use as a bounce. They also come with silver and gold reflective surfaces to add light when you need it. Because they’re useful in bright sun and for lower light situations they are really versatile. You can probably get’em for cheap on amazon or B&H photo. You do need a stand/a helper or tripod w/ a timer though.

    1. Thank you! And good idea with the reflector/diffuser! I almost bought one of those once before but completely forgot about it! Thanks for that idea! :)

  2. Both bunnies are adorable, but I have some serious love for that brown one! You did an amazing job on his face, the details are just perfect! I would love to see a pattern for them, just don’t forget their wee little tails! :)

  3. I think they look cool & cute! My only thought is that if the arms/legs were a little longer it would make it easier for a kid to hold. If you’re making them for kids, that is. : ) Are you going to post (or sell) the pattern when you’re happy with it?

    1. You have a good point! Today when I was carrying them, looking for a place to take pics, I found myself carrying them all by the ears.

I am going to post the pattern! I ended up making one with no arms or legs and I think that’s what I’m most happy with. I’ll post it today! :)

  4. So cute! Love the little cross stitches on them too. I’m giving away one of my bunny softies at the moment – you are welcome to enter!
