Wanna be a pattern tester?

I’m looking for a few people willing to test my new slouchy hat pattern for me before I release it. Interested? Please read on! :)

I’m calling it an intermediate level pattern. You’ll need to know the following stitches: sc, dc, ch. Puffs and cluster stitches are also used but they’re explained in the pattern so don’t worry if you don’t know them yet. It requires four colors of worsted weight yarn and a size I (5.5mm) crochet hook.

Testing involves trying out the pattern and letting me know if you run into any typos or problems or have any questions. When you’re done, I’d like to see pictures of the finished project and hear your overall thoughts on the pattern (let me know if anything could be made less confusing, if any steps need photos to help explain, etc). I’m looking for someone who can be really critical! This is important. In the past I’ve had too many people tell me a pattern was perfect and then had other people testing the same pattern find obvious errors, etc. Please only apply if you’re really interested in offering constructive criticism. I’m hoping to have testing finished by the 9th so please only apply if that’s doable.

Still interested? Please leave a comment and link me to your Ravelry or Flickr or blog (somewhere that I can see a few things you’ve made). I’ll contact you by email tomorrow. :)

I have enough testers now. Thank you, everyone! I’m sorry I don’t have something for all of you. I got more responses than expected.

I’d love to test! I only have a few of my crochet projects posted on Ravelry (I’ve been primarily a knitter recently), but this hat is definitely within the scope of my ability and I’m in need of a new project.

ooh! I’m so envious of your knitting skills! I’ve bought some of the same amigurumi patterns you’ve used and I had to save them for later. I’m such a beginner at knitting! hehe!

I sent you an email! :)

Not sure how many folks you are looking for, but I have the materials on hand, and am a pattern read-ability PITA (constructively of course!) ;)

I would LOVE to test this pattern. I have been crocheting for about 6 years. I just started a ravelry site, so i dont have much on there. Ive been needing a project to work on, and i could probably have it done within a few days.
