A day in the life of my Chia Bunny!

I’m so excited about what I’m working on right now! I’ve been saving cans because I was going to make these smashed can pots. But then another idea hit me! I’m really anxious to finish it but I need to make a trip to the craft store for a couple things! :(

Check out my chia bunny! It’s been 10 days since I planted it. I took this pic this afternoon, and I swear it has more sprouts now. Maybe I’m crazy…

Not as crazy as my dog though. This morning (before I started painting, obviously), she discovered the chia pet and she would not stop staring at it! She kept whining at it as if she had seen it move or something. She’s such a weirdo. She used to do this when I had a hamster. It lived on my other desk and whenever she would come into the room, she would stare at the cage and whine.

Haha, that dog photo and what you said made me laugh!
I can’t wait to see what you do with your painted cans! I love the spring colours, it makes me want to see if I have any cans to use in my recycle bin…
And yay for Chia Bunny! I had one of the original Chia Pets as a kid, but it was too humid where I lived for it to sprout properly, which was so disappointing.
So what did you end up doing to the cans? I made some upside down planters with my cans.
I was thinking about getting the Mr T chia pet but the between stages really creeped me out:

eek!
This is what I originally had in mind when I made the cans: http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=1580 But since the hanger thingy didn’t really work out, I just have the cans sitting on my desk with the plants in them.
haha! The Mr. T chia is kinda scary!
Yeah. All my guys friends loved the idea of the Mr T Chia but as soon as they saw the pics of the in between stage they were all saying in unison “NOOOOOOO!”
Here’s the link for my planters:

oh cool! I couldn’t picture what an upside down planter was. At first I was like, how do the plants not fall out?! I get it now! hehe! :)
