And now it looks like this! Simplified. All clean and grown up! I love it but I have to admit, I’m missing my gray stripey background. So much white is going to take some getting used to.

The main reason for the redesign (aside from change being fun!) is because I wanted it to look a little more like my new shop! Oh hey, guess what?! I have a new shop! Yep! I have a new place to sell all of my custom goodies. I’m not going to be selling anything premade anymore. I’ll just be taking custom orders now.

Here’s one of the inner product pages. I made it easy to see all of your color choices and other options (ribbon in this case).

I would love to hear what you think! :) I’m eventually gonna design a matching pattern shop. But I’m still working on adding all of my hats to the custom shop. It’s a work in progress! ;)

I also bought some new colors yesterday. You have no idea how much joy it brings me to pick out new color combos! omg! :P I’m probably going to design a few different styles before I post any of them.

Flowers from my yard. This pink cactus flower only makes an appearance once a year so it’s kind of a big deal! They’re so pretty, I wish they blossomed all the time.

I spent a day at the LA zoo! I’ll have to post more of those pictures later. I edited the meerkat pic using Labelbox & Line Camera.

I picked up several new colors of embroidery floss and designed my first pair of barefoot sandals! I’m so in love with them! What do you think? Embroidery floss isn’t as hard to work with as you might think and how awesome is it that it only costs $2.45 to make a pair?!

I’ve also spent a lot of time working on the new hat shop website! It’s coming together so nicely! The starfish pic is actually from a couple months ago but I just downloaded several new photo editing apps and was using this pic to test them. I’m gonna have to make a post about photo editing apps! They’re so fun and I’m obsessed right now!

What have you studded?

It’s a fun way to destash some fabric (I’ve had this fabric forever and couldn’t figure out what to do with it!) and make something pretty for your yard or porch!

Wanna make one of your own? Here’s how!

Supplies: You’ll need 4 strips of fabric or ribbon (each 1 inch wide by 2 yards long) and a metal ring (I used a keychain ring).

Step 1:  Put all of your fabric strips together and fold in half. Stick the middle part through your ring. Then put the ends through the loop and pull tight.

Step 2: Separate your strips so that you have four sets of two strips. Measure 15 inches down from the ring at the top and knot each of the sets together.

Step 3:  Take one strip from the first set of strips and one strip from the second set.  Measure about 2 1/2 inches down from the knots and knot the two together. Repeat this with the remaining strips (see the photo below on how to do the end strips).

It gets a little tricky when you get to the two end strips (with the arrows). When you tie them together the whole thing becomes circular and doesn’t lay flat anymore.

Step 4: Measure another 2 1/2 inches below the knots and repeat what you did for step 3. When you get to the end strips (with arrows), you’re going to have to flip it over and tie them together so it’s circular.

Step 5: Measure another 2 1/2 inches down below the knots and make one big knot to tie all of the strips together.

You could put a flower pot inside or if you want some more color like I did, try painting some tin cans!
